FAQs for First Sessions
What's your rate? What about insurance? How long are sessions?
I don’t take insurance, but I’m happy to give you a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. My current rate is $100/session for individuals and $115/session for couples, and it will increase to $150/session for individuals and $175/session for couples on January 1, 2025. Sessions last 45-50 minutes, with the intake session being a full hour.
How often do we meet?
I meet with all new clients weekly for the first 6-8 weeks of our work together because clients who come regularly make faster, deeper progress. After that, we reassess and adjust the frequency as needed.
Where do we meet?
Whether you prefer the convenience of virtual therapy or want to visit my cozy office in New Orleans for in-person sessions, I've got you covered. My office is located at AEJ Counseling, 5104 Danneel Street, New Orleans.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes! We can meet for individual therapy or couples/ marriage therapy.
