FAQs for First Sessions

• Are you accepting new clients?

Right now, I have a waitlist for both in-person and virtual appointments. Openings usually come up every few months, but it’s tough to predict exactly when since it depends on when current clients decide to finish or take breaks from their sessions. If you'd like to be added to the waitlist, please email me at hello@themind.com, and we can set up a free phone consult as soon as a spot opens.

• What's your rate? What about insurance? How long are sessions?

My current rate is $150/session for individuals and $175/session for couples. Sessions last 45-50 minutes, with the intake session being a full hour. I don’t take insurance, but I’m happy to give you a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.

• How often do we meet?

I meet with all new clients weekly for the first 6-8 weeks of our work together because clients who come regularly make faster, deeper progress. After that, we reassess and adjust the frequency as needed.

• Where do we meet?

Whether you prefer the convenience of virtual therapy or want to visit my cozy office in New Orleans for in-person sessions, I've got you covered. My office is located at AEJ Counseling, 5104 Danneel Street, New Orleans.
