Hi, I'm Katherine Wikrent. I’m a PLPC and NCC psychotherapist based in New Orleans, Louisiana, offering trauma-informed and queer- and neurodivergent-affirming therapy for individuals and couples across the state.
I’m all about helping adult women, nonbinary, and queer folks shine—especially if you're kinky, polyamorous, a sex worker, or just proudly weird like me.
I get what it’s like to feel like you’re too much for the world, or not enough. I’ve wrestled with people-pleasing, shrunk myself to fit in, and spent years hiding in plain sight (yes, therapists have their own struggles, too!). So when I say I see you, I really mean it.
I’m also a total mental health nerd who has been known to stay up until 1 AM diving into new therapy tools and strategies because I want you to have the best, most effective support. My work blends deep empathy with practical strategies, because you deserve therapy that’s both affirming and effective.
When I’m not in the therapy room, I’m out exploring my new home in New Orleans after a decade of living all over the world. You’ll find me snapping photos of street art, catching a movie (I LOVE the big screen!), salsa dancing, or chasing down the city's best ice cream.
